Comments: The Royal Trust Collection states: ‘A drawing of a scene within a printing shop, with a screw press being turned on the left, type-setting in progress on the right, and inking in the background. An apprentice lays out newly printed proofs on a table in the centre foreground, while the master printer views the scene on the left. It was created by Jan van der Straet, called Stradanus and collaborator: Luigi Alamanni.
