The website was made in the spring of 2020 by Karel van der Waarde (firstname.lastname@example.org). It is intended to provoke questions and discussions about visualisations of wooden printing presses.
This website aims to show illustrations of wooden printing presses together with their descriptions.
The main reason to make this collection public at the moment, is that digitalization makes searching and checking the accuracy of provenance easier. Furthermore, high resolution scans improve the quality of the images. My thanks go to the people who developed the search engines, scanned the books, and provided indexes and catalogues.
The copyrights of the illustrations belong to the authors, scanners, and photographers. I have indicated this, but I might have made mistakes. Please inform me about this.
