Comments:

William Blades (1869) describes the obverse as ‘Leipsig, 1740. Obverse: Typographia between a printing-press adn a compositor’s case, holding in one hand a composing-stick, and in the otehr a pair of inking-balls. The legend is: SPES . O . FIDISSIMA . MUSIS . In the Exergue: ANNO TYPOGRAPHIAE SECULARI TERTIO MDCCXL.’ Number: 2 L (illustration page 210, description page 33)’.

Gessner, Christian Friedrich (1740) Die so nöthig als nützliche Buchdruckerkunst und Schriftgiezerey, mit ihren Schriften, Formaten und allen dazu gehörigen Instrumenten shows an illustration of it in Volume 3, Table VI, number IV. A description can be found in volume 3, page 202.
